Faculty of History
The faculty grew out of the department of history and philology with which the university opened in 1958. Its archaeologists run the university's excavation at the caravanserai of Rabat-i-Safed, and its archival studies programme trains staff for the ISEZ State Archive and the National Historical Museum.
